Easier training, faster early levels and three fairer vaults

ยท Update

We read the numbers from the first days on Google Play, and some of them were bad. Too many new players lost their very first raid, and three story vaults stopped people cold. The 11 October 2026 update fixes all three problems.

Easier training for everyone

Every new thief starts with short training vaults. We tested two versions of the first one, each with half of the new players. The new one is built around a single hazard: a sleeping dog that wakes up when you grab the pet and patrols the far side. There are no cameras, lasers or plates yet, but you still pick a lock. If you get caught, the game gives you a close call the first time, and after two catches it shows route dots on the floor.

The result was clear. Players won 95% of raids in the easier training, against 55% in the old one. So everyone now gets the easier training. The later training vaults now wait until you reach the right level, so you learn one thing at a time.

Levels 5 to 8 need 30% less XP

The early middle of the game felt slow. Levels 5 to 8 now need about 30% less XP. That gets you to new gadgets sooner: the EMP at level 7 and the dog treat at level 8. The XP curve is back to normal from level 13. When you level up, the card now also tells you what comes next.

Campaign vaults mix guards, cameras and locks. Three of them got easier.

Three campaign vaults retuned

The story campaign has 34 hand-made vaults. Three of them, in chapters 2 and 3, had win rates far below the rest. We watched the replays to find out why. Most raids were lost after an alarm: a guard dog ran faster than a thief carrying a rare pet.

Two more changes help with every sleeping key dog. You can take the keycard if you come from behind while sneaking or moving slowly. If you bump into a key dog clumsily, he only stirs and pushes you back once, and the game tells you to sneak up behind him. And in any campaign vault, after you fail it twice, your next try comes with help: route dots, the camera areas on the floor and one extra smoke bomb.

What did not change

Each vault keeps its rooms, its objectives, its story and its signature pet. The idea of every level is the same. It is just fairer now. If you want to beat these vaults cleanly, read our guide on getting three stars and the tips and FAQ.
